At the base of majestic cliffs which is up to 300 feet high, this two mile long sandy strip, known as Black’s Beach is located. Black’s Beach is officially regarded as Torrey Pines area and Torrey Pines State Beach and it is jointly owned by the City of San Diego and the State of California . Also there is a glider port atop the cliff which overlooks the beach where you will get a common view of hang-gliders, Para-gliders and remote controlled gliders sailing around the gusting cliff winds. Way in to Black's Beach is not an easy task as there are high cliffs and lack of improved stairways. The safest access is from adjacent beaches to the north and south, but there is chance of obstacle in this access due to the high tides or surf. The cliffs of Black's Beach are very dangerous as they are uneven and slides can occur anytime, so it is always advisable that you keep safe distance from them.
