) is located. This one mile
long beach
is home to many wonderful activities and micro communities. One of such is a
volleyball area at the north of the beach offering fun and challenge.
At the south end of the beach,
Ocean Beach Municipal Pier is located which is available to the public for
walking and fishing. Also you will get a restaurant and bait shop on the pier.
Fishing from the pier does not require a fishing license, but catch regulations
are enforced.
Near the south end of the beach,
numerous restaurants, surf shops, and other commercial establishments are
available. The north end of the beach is primarily bordered by residential
properties.
Dog
Beach
, a unique feature of
Ocean
Beach
is a sandy area at the north end. This is a dog run area where dogs are
permitted without a leash at all hours of the day. It is the responsibility of
the dog owners to control and clean-up of their dogs. Standard dog laws apply
on other portions of
Ocean
Beach
and are strictly enforced.
